DevOps Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Administer Linux-based operating systems: deploying OS, installing and configuring software
- Read and analyze application logs and system journals
- Create simple scripts for automation and demon management, set up schedulers
- Confidently use command-line tools: systemctl, journalctl, grep, cat, sed, awk, less, etc.
- Configure network settings, port forwarding, and basic network configurations
- Set up monitoring to proactively respond to resource shortages
- Work with AWS CLI, primarily managing EC2 instances
- Be eager to learn new skills and quickly understand documentation (e.g., installing GitLab, YouTrack, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience setting up basic CI/CD pipelines on GitLab
- Ability to build Docker images
- Knowledge of YUM-based systems (CentOS, Red Hat)
- Knowledge of DEB-based systems (Debian, Ubuntu)
- Experience with Azure — a plus
- Knowledge of CloudFlare (security, redirects, etc.)
- Experience working with Kubernetes — a big plus
Requirements:
- Experience in Linux system administration
- Skills in server setup and automation
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure (preferred)
- Ability to read documentation and independently solve problems
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
